There is sufficient evidence in Jesus resurrection to persuade one to believe in the gospel.

 

I. Resurrection: Facts and Implications

A. Facts

1. A work of God

2. A validated promise of God

3. Physically verifiable evidence from God

 

B. Implications

1. God has power over life and death

2. The Jesus who rose is the same Jesus who died

3. One can fully trust in the meaning of the resurrection even though one may not fully understand all of it

 

II. Resurrection: Proof and Promise

Proof: God has the power to overcome death

Proof: Jesus death accomplished God's will

Proof: God keeps His promises

Proof: Jesus death on the cross was God's plan

Proof: Man would not have the last word about Jesus

Proof: God loves people

 

Promise: The good news of the gospel is news of hope
