HHBC Missions


Our goal is to see the gospel go forth from a small town in Lanesville, Indiana to the ends of the earth.  As a Christ-centered faith of family on mission we are making Christ known in our community and to the ends of the earth. We minister to our local community in various ways. We have helped to start several churches, and currently support Emmanuel East and Faith Emmanuel Baptist Church both in Toronto.  We take a yearly mission trip to either the Appalachians or Toronto.  We also support missions through the SBC Cooperative Program.

Telling others

Christ has changed our lives. We desire to make him known. We proclaim that Christ is Lord and deserves the worship of all people.  God’s desire is that people from every tribe and nation worship him as Lord.  We start in our community and pray that God will send his word to many nations through his church.

We regularly go on Mission (Trips)

  • Local
    • Our Ladies participate in one or two 'ministry days' per year at Choices Life Resource Center in New Albany to provide cleaning ministry
  • State
  • Regional
    • Fall of 2009, we partnered with Highland Baptist Church for mission trip to New Orleans, LA to provide support in aftermath of Hurricane Katrina
    • 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017 our men and women took week-long summer trips to Eastern Kentucky (appalachia), to support local area ministries
    • We will travel to Lynch, KY to assist Meridzo Ministries in July 2019
  • International
    • 2010, 2012, 2016 and 2018, several adults traveled to Greater Toronto Area in Canada, to support local church plants
  • Vocational
    • We have multiple former members who are now actively serving in International Missions under the banner of the Southern Baptist Convention
